Sex & Disease Transmission
Q.
Anal Sex & Disease Transmission
I experienced my first anal sex, my
partner does not use condom, he just use oil. After the intercourse I see
my anus there are some wounds and I wash it with soap, are there some
tendencies that I can have a disease?
A.
Having unprotected anal sex can definitely increase the possibility of
disease transmission. Even in a monogamous relationship it's a good idea
to use condoms for anal penetration.
Also in order to minimize the chance of ripping or tearing of the anal
tissues it's a good idea to use a water based lubricant prior to and
during penetration. I say water based lubricant because it won't interfere
with your body's normal function. A lot of oil based products will cause a
breakdown in the condom.
